Affiliations

As part of CLG’s commitment to advancing social justice and immigrants rights, we partner with a number of local, state, and national organizations. Through partnerships with these groups, CLG members participate in leadership development activities, advocacy, and civic engagement.

California Domestic Workers Coalition

CDWC is a coalition of grassroots domestic worker organizations and their supporters from the labor, faith, domestic employer, women and student communities, who want to advance the rights of the domestic workers who care for our homes and our families. CDWC have come together as a statewide network to ensure that statewide laws and agencies protect domestic workers from abuse and to inspire all Californians to uphold the dignity of domestic work in our homes.

California Immigrant Policy Center

The California Immigrant Policy Center is a non-partisan, non-profit statewide organization founded in 1996. The Policy Center seeks to inform public debate and policy decisions on issues affecting the state’s immigrants and their families in order to improve the quality of life for all Californians.

The National Domestic Workers Alliance

NDWA is the nation’s leading voice for dignity and fairness for the millions of domestic workers in the United States, most of whom are women. Founded in 2007, NDWA works for the respect, recognition, and inclusion in labor protections for domestic workers. The national alliance is powered by 42 affiliate organizations—plus our first local chapter in Atlanta—of over 10,000 nannies, housekeepers, and caregivers for the elderly in 26 cities and 18 states.

National Day Laborer Organizing Network

NDLON improves the lives of day laborers in the United States. To this end, NDLON works to unify and strengthens is member organizations to be more strategic and effective in their efforts to develop leadership, mobilize, and organize day laborers in order to protect and expand their civil, labor and human rights. NDLON fosters safer more humane environments for day laborer, both men and women, to earn a living, contribute to society, and integrate into the community.

North Bay Jobs With Justice

At Jobs With Justice is leading the fight for workers’ rights and an economy that benefits everyone. By bringing together labor, community, student, and faith voices at the national and local levels, they are creating innovative solutions to the problems workers face today. NBJWJ are the only nonprofit of their kind leading strategic campaigns and shaping the public discourse on every front to build power for working people. Jobs With Justice is committed to working nationally and locally, on the ground and online. They win real change for workers by combining innovative communications strategies and solid research and policy advocacy with grassroots action and mobilization.
